Goodbye to Vidlin and Lunna Pod! We have a nice stretch of time before catching the ferry to Kirkwall, so what better to do that MOAR PUFFINKS!

Sumburgh Head was definitely the place to be for Puffins in Shetland this trip.

We stopped off at St. Ninian’s for a bit before heading back to Lerwick. One thing that makes St. Ninian’s special is that a hoard of Pictish treasure was hidden from the Vikings here and discovered by a schoolboy in 1958. Also, there is a narrow beach that connects the Isle to the mainland, called a tombolo.

I did a very extensive hike all around the isle you see behind me in 2022. Today, just a stroll on the tombolo.
