What am I, crazy? THREE things today! This little bistro was recommended by Louise, and it was close to Montparnasse Cemetery. I felt a little at sea with the menu, but it was delicious. La Cantina Troquet Pernety. There was a yammering woman nearby, an American in Paris and perfectly horrid.

I was thrilled to have time to go to Montparnasse cemetery. It was a beautiful sunny and cool day, and after holing up the previous day, I was ready for a nice walkabout.

And now on to the Catacombs! What a grisly job it must have been to remove the remains from their aboveground home and transport them to this place. I loved the sculptural placement of the femurs and skulls, but there was also a chaos of bones behind the order. This place is holy.

I did not know about The Pompidou, but my partner did! I’m so glad he insisted I go there for my very last thing in Paris. It was fabulous, and now is quite a lot of dust as it is being rebuilt. I can’t give descriptions of every piece in the Jean Chatelus collection. It was one of the most amazing exhibitions I’ve ever seen, mostly because it was the collection of one man who had very *particular* tastes. Just enlarge the photos and enjoy. I wish I had more and better.

The remainder of the day was left to packing and tidying up the flat, and also finishing off my food and drink. Yes, another night of NOT dining out in one of the culinary capitols of the world!
