Up nice and early to pack and tidy up, breakfast at 7 AM, stow my packed lunh, and out the door at 8 AM. One of the prettiest days of walking of the whole Way. There was only a bit of sheep drama, twins on the wrong side of the fence. They found their way without help from me (except not being startling, which with sheep is actually not so easy). Saw a lot of practically newborn lambs today, such a joy.

The two or three miles descending into Llanbardarn Fynydd was paved and a little hard on the feet, and there is not much “there” there for a town. But they have a little general store; I was a little earlier than expected, so I sat out on the deck by a little stream and enjoyed my sandwich and crisps. I found some fish sticks and a beer for dinner, and grabbed apples to accompany my hard boiled eggs for next day’s walking snack.

I had been struggling a little bit with charley horses and sore toes, and lawdy did this hot tub fill the bill for me.

The bed was so comfy! I had a super night’s sleep.
