Back in 2018, I attempted a day trip to Aber, but was thwarted by my own inattention. But this year, I was determined to get there! We had another stunning day to wander this lovely village. There is currently a great deal of construction going on at the University there, which was recommended to me years ago for wandering, so I kept to the boardwalk and castle. David walked up the hill overlooking the town and the bay. I could have taken the funicular, but I was being conservative with my knee.

The boardwalk is a magical place. I loved the art along the way.

Dinner at Athro Lounge was a HUGE treat! As you can see, we just didn’t dine out very much, and so this felt super special. This was a space full of vision! They really play up the former school building aspect, and it is pitch perfect. AND the food and drink was up to it.

What a fun day! There are a couple of very good coastal walks from Aber that I will try next time!
