June 21 – Hampstead Heath, Wynd’s Museum of Curiosities

Well, the day started out super wholesome, and ended on a decidedly decadent note!

On a high hill, most of the park is pretty wild and untrimmed. These great expanses were mown and very much appreciated by the peoples!
We walked through a lovely community garden on the way to the park.
Yep, that’s The City alright!
There’s the Shard being shardy, far left.
Kenwood House, an art gallery that we were not in the mood for. But a pretty building, yes?

We grabbed some lunch close by — and even dodged a few raindrops!

Tonight’s surprise! The Victor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art, & Unnatural History.

My surprise night out in Hackney!

This collections was vast, vast, vast, and highly disturbing, if you’re the sort to be disturbed that is. We are not, and spent a couple of hours inspecting every dusty, deviant corner!

I will, delightfully, be back in Hackney for four days in 2026, and plan to return if I can!
