The forecast for London: hot and getting hotter. Guess who didn’t really have any summer clothes? Dis girl. So off we went to a street of thrift and charity shops. I found a great dress. Also, my credit cards got stolen (fortunately, not my passport, so thanks, thieves!). And so it goes.

After shopping, we literally stumbled upon the Camden Art Center, our way home on Finchley Road, but closer to the posh part of the nabe. It was the last day of the exhibit, and it was a great one! Please take a look at this video of the artist talking about his amazingly complex and varied vision.

Our flat was very near the Sigmund Freud museum. Really, really enjoyed wandering the rooms of the house, his last after fleeing the Nazis. He didn’t get long here before his death. Intermixed with the period art and craft that were part of the home, and Freud’s amazing collections of ancient artifacts, are contemporary paintings that meet his psyche and sensibility. It was a great, great day of art.

And if that weren’t enough — we went to the British Library, where David would spend quite a few hours doing work while I did this and that or hung out at home.

Yes, it got pretty warm. Not as bad as 2022, but still pretty uncomfortable in our little flat. At least there was a fan, and also green in the back yard.
